Knotted is the most durable option. While it is sometimes possible to see knots, usually they are invisible. Some people opt for a v-loop front one inch and the rest knotted. Injected possibly has the most realism, but is the least durable. Generally, you can expect 3 or 4 months out of the knotted thin skin, and a month less on v-loop. This varies from individual to individual however.
Yes, the thin skin bases are not breathable. Sweat can be trapped underneath after workouts. This is a major disadvantage for some people.
The general idea should be, the older you are the lower the density. So under 40 could choose medium to medium heavy, but over 40 should go with medium light or less, and over 50 should go with extra light or light. That kind of thing. A light density unit still has full coverage.
Some people go to just a regular stylist, and this option can be the least expensive. Just explain to them in confidence that you are wearing and it would be advisable to take the length down slowly.
